What Should I order

The best place to start is at the filter finder drop down box in the upper left of this page. Just choose your filter size and pick your filtration level.

If you have a whole house filter with a name like honeywell or trane then choose wholehouse filters on the left.  You will see a complete listing if you click on this link.

What is MERV? MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. It is a number from a test method designed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). The number is intended to help people compare filters. Generally speaking, a higher MERV rating indicates better filter performance.

Merv 13 is the best and is for people with strong allergies or asthma
Merv 11 is for light allergies and all around use
Merv 8 is for best airflow and filtration compromise.

What is APR? APR stands for Accumulair Performance Rating. This rating has been established by the manufacturer of the Accumulair Filters. This rating exists to demonstrate the different levels of efficiency throughout the Accumulair filter line. Generally speaking, the higher the APR, the better the filter performs in capturing small airborne particles. This rating system is an internal rating system and applies to Accumulair filters only.

What is Microparticle Performance Rating (MPR)?

3M developed the Microparticle Performance Rating (MPR) system to demonstrate a filter’s ability to capture the smallest airborne particles—from 0.3 to 1 micron in size from the air passing through the filter. The MPR system helps you compare Filtrete filters based on the level of air filtration you want. The higher the MPR, the better the filter’s ability to capture particles from the air as it passes through the filter.
