- Electrostatic charge captures airborne allergens SMALLER THAN 1 micron including fine dust, smoke, dander, mold, pet dander and dust mites. Also traps most large allergens including pollen and lint.
- Up to 20-times more effective at capturing micro particles than ordinary fiberglass filters. Designed for uniform air flow.
Will not support the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew or fungi in normal use.
- AC filters and furnace filters with an efficiency rating of Merv 8 are able to remove pet dander, dust mites debris, lint, dust and pollen from the air. Standard home air filters trap particles in the air but electrostatically charged HVAC filters are designed to attract particles such as dust by utilizing both negative and positive charges in the filter fibers. Pet dander, mold, secondhand smoke, household cleaning products and more all contribute to dirty air inside your home. The fact that people spend 90% of their time indoors, and that the air inside is often more dirty than the air outside, led the EPA to name Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) as a top five environmental health risk. Change your home air filters regularly to prevent temporary and long-term negative health effects from breathing in dirty air.

APR vs MERV
APR
APR stands for Accumulair Performance Rating. This rating has been established by the manufacturer of the Accumulair Filters. This rating exists to demonstrate the different levels of efficiency throughout the Accumulair filter line. Generally speaking, the higher the APR, the better the filter performs in capturing small airborne particles. This rating system is an internal rating system and applies to Accumulair filters only.
MERV
MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. It is a number from a test method designed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). The number is intended to help people compare filters. Generally speaking, a higher MERV rating indicates better filter performance.
